Summer Solstice Ritual Bundle Dyeing with Zemna
20 June 2026 | Swiss Alps – Lugano, Switzerland
Join us for a magical one-day immersion in the heart of the Swiss Alps, where we celebrate the longest day of the year through the ancient art of bundle dyeing with local plants and flowers.
On this Summer Solstice, we gather in a peaceful alpine meadow surrounded by rolling green hills, mountains to create living art on fabric. Using the bundle dyeing technique, we will wrap flowers, leaves, and herbs into cloth, set our intentions, and let nature reveal its unique patterns as the bundles steam under the solstice sun. This is a gentle ritual of connection. A day to slow down, reconnect with the earth, honour the abundance and light of midsummer, and carry home a piece of textile infused with the energy of this special day.
What we will experience together:
Mindful foraging of seasonal plants and wild flowers growing around us
Preparing our fabrics with personal intention
Learning the bundle dyeing technique
Steaming the bundles and the magical moment of unrolling
A intimate solstice sharing circle to reflect on the day’s creations and the turning of the season
What you will take home:
A unique, one-of-a-kind naturally dyed scarf created by your hands and painted by the plants of the Swiss Alps on the Summer Solstice.
